Hello and Welcome!

Hello, we all know that we are in the middle of the worst economic crisis in world history. I am like many others concern about the future of our economy. I do not believe there is a single person in the United States who is not affected by the economic crisis. Many people chose President Obama believing that he would revitalize our economy. I recently watched the news and a poll showed that Americans chose economy as their number one concern. If one turns on television recently, there is no way one could watch TV without seeing some aspects of the economic crisis. I feel that it is very important for me to write about topics that are related to every one of us.
I feel that the economic crisis has started because of our ignorance of our financial affairs. Last week, my sociology class happened to discuss about credit card interest rate. I could not believe what I heard: Some students were shocked with the fact that they have to pay interest if they do not pay the credit card balance in full each month. They are students who are studying in this top-tier research university. They are intellectuals in terms of their academic knowledge, but when it comes to financial issues, they cannot be called intellectuals. I know many college students and adults have absolutely no financial education because no one has ever taught them. Their parents could get away without learning the basic of personal finance; however it does not apply to us who are living in the 21st century.
I am dedicated to share my knowledge through my blog with the general public. I do have a unique point of view about the economic crisis since I have spoken with many people in different backgrounds and have gained knowledge in the topic from them. I know there are many people out there who write about the economic crisis and personal finance; however, it is rare to see writings from college students like me to discuss about these topics. I have assisted my mentor who is a real estate professor at a community college. He has given me many insights of the real estate market and economics. I have obtained my California real estate license and I am working towards my broker’s license. During my study, I have learned very much about the economy and have done some research about the real estate market and economy in general. Obviously, I am not Suze Orman, but I will do my best to write excellent blogs that will improve lives of people.
I am a firm believer in educating ourselves about personal finances and I do believe that this is the only way we can avoid any future economic crisis. I hope I can share my knowledge with others and hopefully, my knowledge will help others achieve success in their lives. Please feel free to leave any comments you may have and thank you for visiting my blog.
